Work & Show Festival

America-in-Play Presents its Third Annual Work & Show:

EXCHANGING GLANCES

Two Original Evenings of Plays, Performances and Installations Inspired by
A Glance at New York (1848)

Mondays, March 23 & March 30 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m. for exhibits and installations

Tribeca Performing Arts Center Theatre 2 199 Chambers Street

America-in-Play (AIP) continues its mission to investigate America's theatrical legacy and create new writing and performance. Guided by AIP Artistic Director and Founder Lynn M. Thomson, this year's writers, composers and videographers explore the 1848 hit comedy A Glance at New York by Benjamin A. Baker. Two original pieces - one presented on March 23, the other on March 30 - integrate an adaptation of the older play with a variety of new writing that addresses the bewilderments and rewards of life in our city and in America.

Come to both evenings! Before each show we offer exhibits and installations: Come early to this display of AmericaÕs weird and wonderful theatrical past.

No admission charged.
